Millions of people all around the world, are going about their daily lives, without being diagnosed for diabetes, but suffering with the symptoms that are associated with the condition. The good news is you do not have to be another statistic. Understanding the symptoms that diabetes has can help you lead to an early diagnosis of the condition, which will in turn lead to, an early onset treatment of the condition also. Remember, when it comes to any condition, the earlier the condition is detected, the more a team of medical professionals can do for you, in order to prolong your lifespan and improve your health.

Increased Thirst and Urination

Two of the initial symptoms of type-2 diabetes are increased thirst, along with increased stages of urination. When suffering from diabetes, glucose, which is the medical term for sugar, builds up within an individual’s blood. The kidneys, as a result of the increased amounts of sugar, are forced to work over their capacity, in an attempt to absorb the excess sugar buildup. If the kidneys are unable to keep up with the increased glucose levels, the excess sugar will then need to be secreted through urine.

This is the reason that frequent urination occurs. All of the fluids are drawn through an individual’s tissues, causing an individual to feel extremely dehydrated. As an individual with type-2 diabetes, attempts to deal with their increased dehydration levels, they will drink more fluids to offset the condition, therefore, causing them to urinate more than normal.

Fatigue

Fatigue, which is a common symptom that accompanies a varied amount of conditions, is another symptom associated with type-2 diabetes as well. There are varying factors that can contribute to this symptom. One is the fact that the body is so dehydrated that it drains the individual who is suffering from the condition. There is also less sugar available that can be used to supply energy, which instantly causes the body to begin to shut down.

Impaired Vision

An individual’s sight can also be impacted by type-2 diabetes. Higher levels of sugar, will pull fluid from the tissues, including the natural fluid in the lenses of the eyes, this affects an individual’s ability to be able to focus on anything. If the vision symptom of diabetes is not properly treated, this can cause new vessels to form in the retina of the eye, along with damaging blood vessels that have already been established. Earlier changes that are caused by diabetes will not cause impaired vision issues. If the changes progress undetected, they can later lead onto vision loss and blindness.

Tingling In the Hands And Feet

Increased levels of sugar in the blood can cause nerve damage. You may notice a loss of sensation in your feet and hands, along with tingling. A burning sensation in your hands, feet, arms, and legs can occur as well.

If your body is giving you any of these possible sypmtoms or signs, it is important to instantly contact your doctor. The sooner that the condition is diagnosed, the sooner your treatments can begin. Type-2 diabetes and any type of diabetes is a serious condition, which cannot be taken lightly. With the proper care, living with type-2 diabetes can be achievable.
