Purpose: To recognize individuals with diabetes who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in pursuit of their athletic goals, and who can serve as inspirational role models for all persons with diabetes. The program honors two adults and one youth with distinguished academic and athletic achievement in high school.

Prizes: Winners are invited as honored guests at the annual Awards Banquet, receiving a $5000 cash award and travel expense reimbursement.
